Blithfield Education Centre was opened on 15 May 1996 by the well respected television personality and leading ornithologist, Bill Oddie.
The Centre offers people from all walks of life an ideal opportunity to learn more about water and environmental science in one of the most beautiful areas of Staffordshire. Located in a picturesque woodland setting adjacent to Blithfield Reservoir, the centre provides excellent facilities from which an abundant variety of habitats and species can be studied.
Peaceful and tranquil, the nearby Stansley Wood offers an idyllic environment in which to study.
Programmes of study are tailored to suit the many different needs of our growing family of visitors, ranging from a simple walk in the woods to learning about the strategic implications of sustainable development and biodiversity.

How to book:
- Contact the Education Centre to check availability and arrange the date(s) for your visit(s).
You can use our Online Enquiry Form or telephone us. - Familiarise yourself with the Education Centre's policies available on the website. Our Policies.
- Download the appropriate risk assessments and use them to formulate your school trip risk assessment Risk Asessments
- Download a copy of the welcome pack and booking form Welcome Pack and Booking Forms.
- Complete the booking form and return it to Blithfield Education Centre by post/fax/email. This will constitute your confirmation of booking. Transport will then be arranged as discussed.
- Download any worksheets you require and print off sufficient copies for your students to use on their visit View Worksheets List.
